Accessibility Statement
Everyone deserves care that is easy to reach — including online. Here's how we're working to make that true.
Our commitment
Heart care should be within reach of everyone. Austin Cardiovascular Clinic is committed to making this website, and every visit to our offices, welcoming and usable for people of all abilities — including patients who use screen readers, magnification, keyboard-only navigation, captions, or assistive input devices.
Standards we work toward
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines are the widely accepted international standard for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
- Clear text contrast and legible, resizable typography.
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can move through pages easily.
- Form fields with clear labels and helpful error messaging.
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and desktop screens.
Ongoing efforts
Accessibility is not a one-time project. As we add pages, images, and features, we review them for accessibility, test with keyboard and screen-reader navigation, and correct issues we find. We also ask our vendors — including our patient portal and mapping providers — about the accessibility of the tools they supply.
Some third-party content, such as embedded maps or documents provided by outside organizations, may not be fully accessible. Where that happens, we will provide the same information in another format on request.
Assistance at our offices
If you need help scheduling, completing paperwork, or navigating your visit, please tell our team when you call. We are glad to read materials aloud, provide large-print copies, allow extra time, and accommodate service animals, mobility devices, and companions who assist you.
Report an accessibility barrier
If any part of this website is difficult to use, we want to hear about it — your feedback helps us fix it for everyone. Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using.
Email [Placeholder – Confirm Accessibility Contact Email], call 512-551-3490, fax 833-973-3889, or write to [Placeholder – Confirm Legal Mailing Address]. We aim to respond within three business days and will work with you to provide the information you need in an accessible format. [PLACEHOLDER — confirm the official accessibility contact and response commitment.]
Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may ask that your concern be escalated to our practice administrator for further review.
