Diagnostic Cardiology

Austin Cardiovascular Clinic offers diagnostic cardiology, including EKG, echocardiogram, stress testing, cardiac ultrasound, and coordinated advanced imaging.

What it is

Diagnostic cardiology uses tests to look at how the heart and blood vessels are structured and how well they are working.

Many tests are non-invasive and performed in the office. Your provider explains why a test is recommended and what the results mean for you.

Why a patient may be evaluated

  • Chest discomfort, shortness of breath, or palpitations
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Leg pain or swelling
  • Follow-up of a known heart or vascular condition

How we evaluate

After a consultation, your provider selects the tests that fit your symptoms and history. These symptoms can have many causes. A cardiovascular evaluation can help determine the underlying issue.
